Sad news that Ross (The Boss) Friedman has passed away:

On February 9th 2026, Friedman announced

that he had been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)

also known as motor neuron disease (MND) or Lou Gehrig's disease.

He died from the condition on March 26th aged 72.

Ross was a legendary guitarist known for his work with Dictators,

Manitoba's Wild Kingdom, Shakin' Street, Manowar and Brain Surgeons.

Pound for pound Ross was THE BOSS.

Cellsum Night

Brownies, NYC

February 7th 1998

Remastered (somewhat rugged) audience recording.

No response to my previous sample so I'm going with my version.

The crowd are chatty especially noticable during Baby Ice Dog.

Possibly the most disinterested bunch I've ever encountered.

Anyway...it's Albert Bouchard and Co. (with special guests)

on great form so it is worth preserving despite the dodgy sound..

I remember having more from this event

including a rare David Roter set but I've lost it.
