I am always bemused by the Hölderlin thing here.

This one includes footage of Jacques Perrot

which was an unexpected...er...treat.

For those who don't know/remember Jacques

he is a guy who had a short career

hanging around a reverb-drenched microphone

making vaguely musical notes by hitting himself

or assaulting his teeth with machine gun fingernail barrages

to a backing band who's loss of dignity is almost

too painful to contemplate.

Krautrock Night

DVD 1

I think it was in 2009 that German TV station WDR

finally yielded to what had been a long running

campaign asking them to re-broadcast footage from their archives

some of which had not been seen for a long time.

They were shown over two weekends

known as Die Deutschrock Nacht 1 & 2

but usually refered to as Krautrock night.

It filled six DVDs and this is the first one.

So pour yourself a glass of glühwein

and check it out if you like this kind of stuff.
