Porcupine Tree
House of Blues
Los Angeles, CA
June 1st 1999

Remastered soundboard/webcast.
This is PTree opening for Magma.
I'm not a huge fan as regular readers may know.
Wilson distances himself from the word 'prog'.
Quite rightly.
He isn't good enough.
Should have called the band Gentle Dwarf.
OK, that's my anti-Wilson rant over.
There are always some good bits I'll concede.
I've got 75 more PT boots but, as an uneducated listener,
I have no idea about best era/tour/rarely played songs etc.

Porcupine Tree
Voodoo Festival
New Orleans, LA
October 26th 2007

Just passing this one on from my huge PT folder.
I confess I haven't listened to it all
but I flicked through and I thought Porc fans might like it.
I can enjoy Wilson's music when I'm in the mood
but it often sounds like one of those shit Floyd albums.
The ones they  made after Roger Waters quit the band.

Porcupine Tree
Planet Pul Festival
Stadion De Kuip
Uden, The Netherlands
June 4th 1994

Slightly tweaked soundboard.
IQ and Poisoned Electrick Head also played at this festival.
Steve Hacket was the headline attraction.
The fledgling Porcupine Tree were the opening act.

Porcupine Tree
Nag's Head
High Wycombe
December 4th 1993

The debut live performance.
Fadeaway was played but is not included on this recording.
Sorry FLAC-heads, I only have this in mp3.
If you want a better copy I think you can still get it on bandcamp.
I patched a missing beat's worth of music during Radioactive Toy
but that could have just been on my copy.
BTW... their 2nd gig was at the more prestigious Borderline.
Three days after this show.
They only played 40 minutes so I'm guessing they were not the headliners.
Does anybody know who else was on the Boarderline bill that night?

Porcupine Tree
Willem II Concertzaal
Den Bosch, Netherlands
February 10th 1995

A soundboard recording lifted, I'm told, from a pro-shot promo DVD.
There is occasional audience chatter so maybe they used onstage mics as well.
The chatting is minimal so shouldn't spoil your enjoyment too much.
I did some remastering but nothing major, mostly volume level adjustments.
There are excellent parts that remind me of RPWL.
The included artwork is a slightly modified design by yura 77.

Porcupine Tree
Le Trabendo
Paris, France
March 11th 2003

Another audience remaster.
There is some chatting in the quieter parts
and increasingly so as the locals gorge themselves on Cognac.
It's mainly one guy who is being l'hole de ass.
You can hear someone attempt to 'shush' him before the first encore.
Apart from his input I am generally pleased with the end product.
No comments on my previous PT post
but I guess 30 DLs (last time I checked) counts as 'some interest'.

Porcupine Tree
Kinoteatr Związkowiec
Krakow, Poland
March 13th 1999

Excellent SBD recording.
Or so they say. i'm not convinced it is soundboard
but I do agree it's excellent.
Slightly remastered and re-tracked.
There's a version in circulation
which is missing the last 6 minutes of 'Don't Hate Me'.
This copy is complete.
I bear a slight grudge against Steven Wilson.
He has accused other 'modern' prog bans of being derivative.
Pot calling the kettle black methinks.
I've been revisiting Porcupine Tree recently.
Might post some more if there is any interest?
