Iron Maiden
Gaumont Theatre
Ipswich, UK
May 8th 1983
I must confess I have never understood
what people see in this band.
I have seen them live a few times
at the beginning of their illustrious career.
First time was opening for Judas Priest in the late 70s.
However, despite my disdain, I know they are very popular.
This is a decent audience recording from their World Piece tour.
Most boots I have heard, even FM or SBD, sound awful.
Bit of an uneven split timewise on the discs
but there was nowhere in the middle that felt suitable.
Up the Irons...as they say
This post is dedicated to Andy & Sue
