Budokan, Tokyo, Japan
January 13th 1982
I posted this on Soundaboard many years ago.
The links there are long dead so I decided to revive it.
It is in mp3 as that is what I burned the CD from.
Quality is pretty good and I am guessing it is from a radio broadcast.
The audience is typical of Japanese crowds of this era.
Happy clappy bunch who have inadvertantly ruined many a bootleg.
Not too bad here though. Can't knock them for enthusiasm.
A group of us went to see Styx on this Paradise Theatre tour
at the Wembley Arena in London.
We even booked a fairly upmarket hotel which was posh for us at the time.
Took suitcases which were mainly full of bongs.
We called room service at some ungodly hour.
They said the restaurant was closed but they could provide sandwiches.
A dude duly arrived pushing a trolley through the smoke filled room.
Large array of sandwiches/crisps etc. and a silver platter with domed cover.
Under the dome was a pile of cress that could rival Ayers rock.
Funny how you only remember the good times.
Or should I say the best of times?
regards
Titus
