Kim Fowley
Snake Document Masquerade 1979

Reposted from November 2020.

Ripped from my old vinyl.
This was the follow up to Sunset Boulevard.
Each track is a sort of prophecy for every year of the 80s.
I traditionally played the relevant song on new year's day
to see if it had any particular resonance.
It never really did.
Actually seems more relevant now.
It can sound a bit odd on first listen but stick with it
because, in my opinion, it's genius.
The album came with a poster that featurerd
the anti-racist rap from The Saga of Hugo X
which adorned my bedroom wall for many years.
I could re-remaster this to make it louder/clean up the clicks and pops
but I choose not to.
Play at 80% volume minimum.
When Kim died he had pre-arranged a photo shoot
with a professional dominatrix looming over his corpse.
I think we can safely class Kim as a radical.

Titus
