Yes
Point Stage at Bold Point Park
East Providence RI USA
June 30th 2019

Nice capture of the band on their Royal Affair tour.
I believe the set was cut a bit short due to the weather.
Gates of Delirium is probably my favourite Yes song.
All Good People is probably my least favourite Yes song
and they always bloody do it.
Billy is doing a great job.
Replacing Chris Squire is a big ask.
I like Jon Davidson's voice but they did him no favours
with the three opening songs which don't really suit him.
He warms to it after that.
Geoff Downes is not flamboyant enough for Yes and should be replaced!
regards
Titus

  1. And I must admit that the recently officially released The Royal Affair Tour is worth a listen or two or more. Great energy recording ! Shut your eyes, listen and you would not admit they average age of these players.

  2. Well, well, the Imagine cover is a bit awkward but why not, and so Steve Howe can perform a nice slide guitar solo. Who is strong enough to blame them ? And the Roundabout song that follows remains a stellar killer song not many are able to compete with !

  3. I guess Alan White has as much right to perform Imagine as anyone

  4. This is the line-up on the song:
    John Lennon – vocals, piano
    Klaus Voormann – bass
    Alan White – drums
    The Flux Fiddlers – strings

Klaus is still alive I believe,
Have no info on The Flux Fiddlers :)

  5. I like to learn a little each day ! Thanks for making me look a little more intelligent ; now I have to find someone where I can place : "Do you know who's playing drums on....". I'm gonna give a wake-up call to my friend in Belgium who's a good Yes fan. Hope he doesn't say : "Well of course, dummy, everybody knows"
