The Tubes
The Record Plant
Sausalito, CA
November 21st 1974

Their 2nd session at the Record Plant in 1974
and even better than the June recording.
still before the first album had been released.
The band are really taking shape now.
Mondo Bondage is now in a familiar format.
In fact this is my favourite version ever of that song.
I love Boy Crazy on this,
it is taken at a much slower pace than normal.
This is in mp3 (only way I have it in my library)
but don't let that put you off...sound quality is excellent.
I instructed the elves at SAM
to make this a Bambi special edition.
I have a busy run up to Xmas work-wise so may post less.
Will try to fit stuff in...might go Ok.
regards
Titus

  1. Extra thank you for the November 74 Tubes. I enjoyed listening to the June 74 but this sounds so much better quality, even in 320 mp3 - I can't tell the difference (over my tinitus). I shall give it my attention later tonight.
I never saw The Tubes until about 2003/2004 playing on a pier in Portsmouth UK, they were superb and I've seen them 3 times since then.
Somewhere I have a very good show at The Palace of Fine Arts, SF 1977, if you've not got it, let me know. Thanks again Titus.

  6. Hope you enjoy, the sound improves from Pimp onwards, but is pretty good throughout.
