Johnny Cash
Opera Leśna
Sopot, Poland
August 22nd 1987
Good quality FM recording.
The audience are a bit 'clap-along' at times
but hey, they're enthusiastic.

I downloaded this one as live in Gdansk Germany :(???? last summer and if effectively has a really nice sound. About the clapping, in those times and in those countries, you were not allowed to stop clapping until the cheerleader with the grey hat and the black sunglasses told you to stop clapping. Then you were safe to stop clapping.
ReplyDeleteThere was a famous french singer, Renaud, who believed that it was nice to go to the other side of the Wall in those times and sang a song about The Deserter that didn't want to go to war (a famous Boris Vian song) and amazingly the famous cheerleader with the grey hat and the black sunglasses instructed the audience to leave the building. Our nice naïve French singer could just finish his song in front of an empty building.
ReplyDeleteinteresting...Sopot is not far from Gdansk. Though I say it is in Poland LOL
