Hawkwind - Do Not Panic! (DVD)
The BBC4 documentary.
You can probably buy it from someone who doesn't own it
I don't know/don't care.
Hawkwind was my first true love.
If you'd met me in 1975 I'd have told you
Warrior on the Edge of Time was the greatest album ever
...period...end of discussion.
I was young and foolish. Now I'm old and foolish.
How many of you know what the arwork really is ❓
The DVD is in sort-of letterbox format.
Not a big problem as it's just talking heads mostly.
Was difficult to resize as it has a different format bonus.
The bonus is the 'classic' Silver Machine video.
That vid has Sweet F.A. to do with Silver Machine.
I wonder if anyone has ever figured out what they are actually playing?
Dave Brock refused to take part being famously belligerent.
Which was a big mistake IMO.
Dave also refused to participate in the horrendous appearance
on Marc Bolan's TV show 'MARC' (I have a full uncut copy of the whole series)
also due to his belligerence
but it this case it was perhaps a wise decision.
Swings and roundabouts Ladies and Gentlemen.
regards
Titus

  1. Hi Titus, love Hawkwind too, specially the Lemmy years, I think I have a mp4 of this somewhere.
Changing the subject, can you send me another link for this Ace show?

And back to the subject, the artwork is related to female reproductive organs?

  2. Will look for the Ace. Spot on with the female but I also think the shape (which formed a sheild on the other side) is also supposed to be a pair of knickers

  3. Hawkwind were the Free Festival Lords of Light. My 1st outdoor gig was Windsor Free Festival 73. Stood 5 feet from Lemmy ,was 16 and tripping on Green Microdots.

    1. Thanks Dave. Hawkwind (with Motorhead opening) was my first proper gig. That was 1977. Would have loved to see a 73 show. Green Microdots :)
