TLD3 is one year old today.
It has been a strange and sometimes difficult twelve months for everyone.
I hope the blog has played some small role in providing entertainment during the pandemic.
Thanks to all those who have contributed.
I won't list names for fear of missing someone out.
Best wishes to all my visitors.
regards
Titus

  2. As said - Congrats! Yep, no question that you´ve made and keep making a positive difference to us visitors in this strange year. We need sites like this, no doubt. I´m glad to be on a job that cannot be done in my living room and not likely shut down either although making it all a bit risky with Corona being kind of a occupational hazard at work - the situation has me thinking of some episode of the 80´s version of the Twillight Zone TV series where a couple of guys (resembling the two hobos in G B Shaw´s theatrucal play "Waiting for Godot") are walking around a ghost town in the evening where everybody´s stuck behind drawn blinds for some reason, even if we´re not in a lockdown here but scare politics designed to overshadow systemic mistakes have proved effective in keeping people indoors (raising depression) even if fresh air ain´t the problem. Thanks for all efforts of bringing rare musical quality content to us all.

  3. Thanks guys, Both myself and Mrs. Luxor are deemed key workers and have worked throughout which I guess counts us as lucky. I'm no fan of politicians but in this case they were in a damned if they do/damned if they don't situation so it depends what you mean by systemic mistakes.

  4. Thank you both, you've found some goodies that I've really enjoyed.

  5. Well, it´s certainly a do/damned situation with tough decisions to be made and not an enviable job to do it, but i think there are lessons to be learned on a global scale for all in a decision making position related to health issues. Neglect has been too big at the start of the pandemic and from my local point of view oftenly caused by cutting corners (mostly running eldery care on a shoestring budget with skeleton crews under pressure on a tight schedual causing the disease to be spread) to keep health care costs down, letting other issues taking priority even when economics isn´t a real problem but creating a situation of having no insurance when the house burns down. True heroes all around in the health care, not so much in the administrations the way i see it.

  7. Thanks for this one year anniversary. It's been an almost daily joy to knock on the virtual door of your shop, to enter and say hello, and to check all the new good music you were presenting. Lots of good memories and I sincerely hope you will keep the shop open for some long time in the future.

Any presents so far? Last birtday my girl made me a special one: I opened the door of the house and to my surprise there stood an old Ford car. And i said: "Bayybee, when i asked you for a 30-year-old escort, this is not what i had in mind." :)

  11. Last year I crashed my car into a tree. Was rather dazed when two cars pulled up. First car was Mr & Mrs Smith. Second car was Mr & Mrs Ball. Luckily I was pulled out by the Smiths.

Hehe ... well, i guess it wasn't Angelina (Jolie & Brad Pitt, from the movie "Mr & Mrs Smith").
