Cheap Trick
Grant Park
Chicago IL.
July 4th 1999
FM sourced recording with pretty good sound quality.
Cheap Trick are a great band but their live performances
are so frenzied they sound like they are playing
whilst simultaneously falling down a flight of stairs.
I last saw them in 2017 and they were still excellent.
I'm a big fan of drummer/bank clerk Bun E. Carlos
who has always looked like he shouldn't really
be hanging around with these guys :)
Rick Nielsen is famous for spewing out guitar picks
and I have collected several but I'm such a nice person (LOL...Ed.)
that I gave them all away...except this one.
First person brave enough to post a name and address in the comments
(which I will quickly delete) can have it. (seriously)
We fast forward...

Hi, just to tell you that in 1979 I got a guitar pick (plectrum) from Rick Nielsen at Vorst National Cheap Trick concert in Brussels. I gave it to my best friend (a guitar player) 9 years ago, telling him to give it back to me when I'm sixty years old... He should give it back to me next year :). I'll tell you
ReplyDeleteThat is interesting. I wonder how many of Rick's picks have been shared further?
