Colonel Preston arrives at the castle
and assumes the role of senior British officer.
Jack Hedley plays Col Preston.
I have always liked him as an actor
especially for his part in 'The Anniversary' with Bette Davis.
One of my favourite films.
I'll post it if anyone is interested.
Robert Wagner also appears as American Phil Carrington
although I believe there were no Americans sent to Colditz.
I suppose the producers made this non-factual addition
to increase their prospects of selling it to the US.
