Based on 'Hurleburlebutz' by the Brothers Grimm.
It scared us all to death when we were kids..
Mainly because of the wicked dwarf played by Richard Krüger.
It's an East German production filmed in such lurid colour
that you may need to wear sunglasses to watch it.
This DVD has a rather complex menu but with some effort
you'll find you can view it with just the original German soundtrack
or with additional narration in English, French or Spanish.
