  1. yea this was sad news. (previously graeme too)...ending of an era with justin the sole surviving moody of the classic lineup. i saw them in 81 and 84 and they were excellent.
i heard this news, however, on my way to see steve hackett, who is very much alive and well and has apparently imbibed from the fountain of youth, shredding like someone half his age, in a very modern fashion. the show was so great i decided to catch another stop on tour.

    1. I just booked tickets to see Hacket. October 2026. Jeez I hope me n Steve live that long! Ex Flower King keyboardist Lalle Larson has taken over from Roger King. Be interesting to hear him in the band. Last time I saw Lalle was at breakfast in Uppsala, Sweden the morning after a TFK show. He was staying at the same hotel. We chatted briefly. Bet he's too big time to talk to me now :) Flower Kings have become the feeder-band for Hackett personnel.

    2. yea i read that king was leaving after the new year. new drummer too, felix lehrman, US tour had nick divriglio - who i knew mostly from clinics on youtube. he played really well but i wanted more phil fills on the genesis tunes. very cymbal heavy, as with many cymbal clinicans!
glad you're going too. and yes saw the flower kings connection and thought of you ;0]
      hackett: more than ever, genesis!

    3. Felix is also ex Flower Kings. He hits the drums hard. Too hard for TFK sometimes IMO. Would suit a metal band.
