Private Schulz (1981)

I've had this in mind since I posted the first Colditz series.
Another WWII themed TV production which I watch every few years.
Michael Elphick is excellent in the title role
but Ian Richardson (Major Neuheim) steals the limelight.
Great story/script and very funny.
I always make a point of 'squeezing' the last drop of a whisky
into my pint of beer in homage to this show.
regards
Titus

  1. Wow! This i haven´t seen since back in the day when swedish public service (the only we had back then) ran it a couple of years behind the BBC. Thanks a lot for posting it Titus, i look forward to watch when i find the time. Think i will have to follow that tip on spiking the beer with a few drops of whiskey, some more of it and it would be akin to the classic outside-the-dance-hall routine of getting drunk cheap, oh the craziness of a wasted youth... this TV series being one of the better memories worth revisiting :-D.
