John Miles
Boston Music Hall
April 2nd 1977
John Miles died in December aged 72.
I didn't get around to acknowledging him at the time.
So many deaths these days it's hard to keep up!
But...better late than never:
This is a short set but quite good sound quality.
I've always been really into John's singing especially his contribution
to The Alan Parsons Project's 'Tales of Mystery & Imagination'.
(It has to be the original vinyl version not the horrible CD)

I have always appreciated his first LP, in my opinion, a perfect album. Produced of course by Mr Parsons himself. In those days he produced a bunch of historical LPs, the first Cockney Rebel, Al Stewart's Year of the Cat, etc.
ReplyDeleteOups, the second and third Cockney Rebel, not the first one. Wikipedia checked.
ReplyDeleteNice correction Derek :) I wouldn't have known as I've never given Cockney Rebel a serious listen. Just know the singles
DeleteNever listened to Death Trip from the first LP ? Serious ? Come on... :)
ReplyDeleteOk Derek I will check out the albums
