As a youth I had a fantastic idea.
I started listening to BÖC's 'Tyranny' album on 45 rpm.
Sure the vocals were Pinky & Perky but the riffs were amazing.
I had inadvertantly invented speed metal
and I threw myself around the room to it for weeks.
Couldn't listen to the album on 33 rpm for a couple of years after that.
It sounded so sluggish.
Don't try this at home!
Some great stuff on this compilation.
Maybe you should buy a copy like what I did (he didn't...Ed.)

Listened to Zappa 'Jazz From Hell ' at 45rpm without ever hearing it at 33rpm....it was fuckin' awesome, have never listened to it again at any speed...don't want to spoil a great (wasted) afternoons memory.
