Just back from HRH Prog XI in Sheffield.
Stars of the weekend were:
Thijs van Leer (74)
Rick Wakeman (72)
Carl Palmer ((72)
Andy Powell (72)
Slightly worrying that these aged musicians are still better than most of the younger ones.
Apologies to anyone from Sheffield but I witnessed a lot of poverty/social issues..
Homelessness and people with obvious mental health problems.
Saw several Police incidents and I was only there for three days.
I know you see these things in most cities but it was strongly in evidence there.
I'll post some more pics if my co-attendees have any decent ones.
The few I took are rubbish apart from the shot of Carl's (unmanned) kit.
regards
Titus

  1. Your description of Sheffield is quite alarming. I was a frequent visitor to the city many years ago. It was, at the time an extremely cool place. Pleasant and clean and some of the best parties I've ever been to. I will remember it as it was, not as it's obviously become. Very sad.

    1. A good percentage of those living rough were asking for food rather than money. I guess they are aware that people suspect they will just spend money on drink or drugs.
