Quantum Jump
Golders Green Hippodrome
London, UK
July 16th 1977

A BBC In Concert type thing hosted by 'whispering' Bob Harris.
This is from an old cassette and is far from perfect
especially if you listen with headphones.
However, crank it up through your speakers and it's pretty good.
They are on fine form and anything with Ruperet Hine is always welcome.
Nektar founding member Roye Albrighton is on guitar.
Drummer Trevor Morais had an interesting career;
later playing with Tina Turner, David Essex, Howard Jones and Björk.
The band are augmented here by viola/violin player Geoffrey Richardson
known for his work with Caravan, Murray Head and Penguin Cafe Orchestra.
I've been revisiting the two John G. Perry solo albums from 76/77.
Both are Canterbury-esque classics and he is a great bassist.
Sunset Wading is good but Seabird is probably my favourite.
Highly recommended if you can find them.
regards
Titus
