Battlement (1979)
For the silent 21 who DL'd the first album, here is their second effort.
Frenchman Frédéric Joos joins the band.
On vocals and acoustic guitar he is Peter Gabriel
and Mike Rutherford rolled into one Gallic soufflé.
Although he sounds more like that other Gabriel wannabe, Fish, at times.
The start of 'Intruders and the Punishment'
reminds me a lot of 'The Cinema Show' as does the last track.
Battlement still has great moments and Joos is undoubtably talented
but I prefer their pre-Joos debut album.
Frédéric Joos returned to France and became an illustrator of children's books.
Selling France by the Franc?
