  1. Very poor DLs on this. I expected more from my sophisticated music visitors

  2. Don´t know about how the sophisticated crowd :-D thinks about this one, but me being more on the low brow and curious kind felt i had to give it a listen just for the... well, just for arguments sake. Hmm.... yeah, that´s very... Broadway. As in bombastic and a bit operetta like, especially the male singers sounds like precursors of The Three Tenors, but as said that´s above my pay grade or something. Have to say it´s a bit too much for me, even though they didn´t blow up "Lullaby of Broadway" and "We´re in the money") , but maybe i´ll stick this album in the same collection of miscellanous albums as The Nutley Brass instrumental takes on Ramones songs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MH0kHju79Ek, seriously. I feel there´s some playful spiritual connection to the stuff. Can´t help making a synaptic cross reference to the epic german TV series Babylon Berlin (For those who missed out: it´s a film noir-like drama set in the days - or mostly nights - of the Weimar Republic, very much worth checking out) and it´s also slightly anacronistic theme song "Zu ache, zu staub" performed by Severija https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uekZpkYf7-E (Bryan Ferry is also featured in the series but only as a night club performer). Thanks for posting, anyway. Always eclectic to have a listen to what you present.

    1. Thanks as always for your considered comments. I like this kind of thing because of the song writing/arrangements. I know it probably doesn't appeal to most 'rock' fans...you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink! :)
