Wouldn't it be cool to have enough clout
to hire Phil Manzanera as your back-up guitarist?
I have two remixes of this FM broadcast.
One is a 'headphones' mix...which sounded shit through the speakers.
The other is a 'speakers' mix...which I've never listened to through headphones.
This is the 'speakers' mix.
It may, no doubt, sound 'duller' than other sources
but I wanted to give it some guts.
During multiple listens in the mastering process
it struck me increasingly how much 'Take a Breath'
is an obvious homage to Syd Barrett/Astronomy Domine/Interstellar Overdrive.
Both Dave and Roger are weakened without each other.
The whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
