Rabbitt - Boys Will Be Boys (1976)
Rabbit were a South African band
who were a bit like the Bay City Rollers
in terms of being cute although they had a rockier edge.
The song 'Charlie' was a number one hit in S.A.
It was Trevor Rabin's first band.
He moved to London after this and then on to L.A.
where he found success as a member of Yes
and, later, as a composer of movie soundtracks.
It's a bit tinny but my attempts to address that
didn't do it any favours so I left it alone.
This is the original release (mp3)
Later versions have a couple of bonus tracks.
A great album if you are into pop-rock.
Trev was already super-talented at this point.
His mother, Joy, was a painter, ballet dancer,
actress, and classical pianist.
His father, Godfrey, was a lawyer, musician, conductor,
and the lead violinist in the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra.
Shit! My family are rubbish LOL
Dad plays violin on 'Hard Ride'.
