Wallenstein
WDR - Germany
December 15th 1979
Not a lot of info on this recording.
The date could refer to the gig or the broadcast.
The venue is a mystery to me.
Keyboard wizard Jürgen Dollase had moved away
from the previous, more proggy, stuff.
The band had a new line-up and a more commercial approach
which brought some success with the singles 'Charline' and 'Don't Let It Be'.
Reminds me of Manfred Mann's Earth Band/Supertramp/Styx/10cc.
I probably prefer their eariler work but this is well worth sharing
as it's excellent and recordings of the band are quite scarce.
There is some occasional tape fluctuation especially on the first couple of minutes.
In general, though, I think it sounds OK...after a bit of a make-over.
