Baker Gurvitz Army
Paris Theatre
London, England
February 22nd 1975

Remastered/reconstructed mp3 vinyl rip.
For me, BGA was one of Ginger Baker's better projects.
The drum solo in Memory Lane is brill.
Super talented Adrian Gurvitz was previously in (The) GUN
perhaps best known for their hit 'Race with the Devil'.
Adrian returned to dominate the airwaves in 1982
with his saccharine-coated ballad 'Classic'.
An undeniable ear-worm but none of that nonsense here.
This is proper rock with prog/jazz fusion/funk elements.

Titus

  1. If this is proper rock then will go for a serious listen even if it includes some little smart prog/jazz/fuzzzion/funk elements but not too much as my ears are based on a Rory Gallagher footstomping rhythm. "Going to my hometown" with mandolin is my utmost borderline jazz fusion limit.
    Just joking
Greetings from rainy Paris, it seems sunshine as left the region for months now.
