Colin Scot (1971)
Colin 'Scotty' Thistlethwaite is fairly obscure I imagine
but he must have been well liked and well connected.
The list of contributors to this, his debut, album is amazing:
Backing Vocals – Alan Hull, Ann Steuart, Jane Relf, Jon Anderson,
Linda Hoyle, Peter Gabriel, Peter Hammill, Phil Collins, Steve Gould
Bass – Nic Potter, Rod Clements
Drums – Guy Evans, Billy Rankin
Guitar – Brinsley Schwarz , Davey Johnstone, Robert Fripp
Keyboards – Bob Andrews, David Kaffinetti, Rick Wakeman
Saxophone – David Jackson
Producer – John Anthony
Artwork – Paul Whitehead
This is an mp3 copy of the CD release.
Don't get too excited, it's not exactly Crimson/Genesis/VDGG/Yes etc.
but it's not bad, song based, folky stuff and he has a decent voice.
Good fun trying to spot people...Fripp on Here We Are in Progress I reckon.
Colin was signed to United Artists
so it's puzzling why there would be such a large Charisma Records contingent.
Apparently Scotty was also known for his considerable alcohol consumption.
