Leslie West, Jack Bruce & Joe Franco
The Chance
Poughkeepsie, NY
December 19th 1987

Remastered audience capture.
Mountain, Cream and Good Rats all rolled into one.
A bit rough around the edges but I like it's raw quality
and I prefer this to the, perhaps more widely shared,
Record Plant recording from December 10th 1987.
regards
Titus

  1. Thanks, Titus. I already had this show, but I really like the little tweaks you made to the sound. I just wish that someone up the chain hadn't used such aggressive hiss removal. It kills all the sound of the club, plus it puts a weird gate effect on the reverb from Franco's snare trigger.

I was going to college in Poughkeepsie at the time. I saw tons of shows at The Chance, but I missed this one because we had been sent home for Winter break.

Leslie was messing around with different combinations around this time. I saw him play at the Airport Music/Bingo Hall in Allentown, PA with Joey Franco and Mark Mendoza. Now that was a loose, raw gig!
