Aswad
Marcus Garvey Centre
Nottingham, UK
February 20th 1984
Freshly captured rebroadcast which includes a guest appearance
from, the legendary Jamaican singer, Johnny Osbourne.
I'm not the world's biggest reggae fan but this is groovy stuff.
I find myself recommending it more than I had expected.
This was before they hit the big time with their,
somewhat watered-down pop, number one hit 'Don't Turn Around'
which is still an OK tune in my book.
Brinsley Forde MBE is a significant Aswadian.
Brinsley is a former child actor probably best known for his role
in the (popular-in-my-day) children's TV show Here Come The Double Deckers.
People change over time so I'm not sure which one is Brinsley:
BTW I have all the episodes of Double Deckers.
I'll post the first one if anybody is feeling nostalgic.
Thanks to Andycher for identifying the last song.
regards
Titus
