Duran Duran
Hammersmith Odeon
London, England
December 17th 1981
One for all the old New Romantics.
Fresh capture from a recent rebroadcast.
An early gig best described as 'before they got even worse'.
'Planet Earth' sounds like KISS disco classic 'I Was Made for Lovin' You'.
There...I've said it.

Titus

ha! i remember the planet earth and GOF getting mucho play in yhe nascent MTV rotation...i did like the rio album (hell we were dancing to that stuff at the clubs, chasing women:0). if you told me as a teen that this band would still be around in 43 years, though, i'd never have imagined it. joke's on us all!

Deletekind words titus, thanks - and always love the broad scope of your posts.. this one inspired me to revisit the planet earth vid. damn, it demands too much attention span and indulgence! not the fun, quick ride of a flock of seagull's I ran - i loved that vid from go and that band rocked weirdly in the little clubs early on. no disco, they
