Genesis
Performing Arts Center
Saratoga Springs, NY
August 26th 1982
Remastered soundboard.
This is not the full concert and the running order is incorrect.
However, by reputation, it's the best quality source from the gig
and this edit makes the poppy middle section a little more palatable.
The arrangement of 'The Lamb' sounds, in my fluent American, plain weird.
"Don't look at me bitch" OMG
Was Phil going through one of his relationship breakdowns?
BTW workupload has either changed or is currently being weird for me.
Hope it is still OK for you.

Titus

09 I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)
yea phil sang those lyrics at the shows i saw.
ReplyDeletefwiw he also bounced a basketball to introduce the earth, wind+fire horns. a talented drummer who carried the lead vox ably for 3 tours. he's already lost his mind/taste by '82.
and from a venue still extant!

Bit garbled Mike, if you don't mind me saying, I've become more lenient to Phil/later Genesis as the years have rolled by. This is a good gig by anybody's standards.
Deleteo argument: the 82 shows were great
ReplyDelete(dance on a volcano opener!) i atill think phil had already gone to the dark side by then ;0]
