Genesis
Lyceum Ballroom
London, England
May 6th 1980
Remastered FM.
I used alternative sources to complete the full setlist.
There is little talking from Phil
so I expect some of his "I say. I say, I say,,," patter is missing.
Anyone remember 'The Good Old Days'?:)
I saw them a couple of times in 1980.
I was never really into Duke so I didn't enjoy the gigs much at the time.
It sounds better in retrospect but the instrumental sections from the album
are weak by Genesis standards.

Titus

Just want to say thanks for all of the recent Genesis posts. Unfortunately was all downhill from here onwards as far as I'm concerned. It makes me sad/mad listening to anything beyond this point.
ReplyDeleteI agree but I've mellowed my opinion over the years. If Duke was a neo-prog album by another band I suspect I'd have been a bit more enthusiastic. Genesis had set a very high bench mark for prog fans. We expected too much.
