Van Morrison
Glastonbury Festival
Worthy Farm
Pilton, Somerset, UK
June 21st 1987
Fresh off the wireless we have Van the Man doing his thang.
I saw him at Glastonbury but I'm not sure which year(s).
The music is always great but I admit I'm not a huge Ivan fan
I suspect this is the one that stuck in my memory.
The band were already playing the intro as Van's helicopter
was landing behind the pyramid stage.
The end notes were still ringing when we saw it take off again.
He was there about a minute longer than it took to play the set :)

Titus

Thanks Titus. Been a long-time Van fan. Not peak '70s Van, but a nice addition, and with a big band no less! As always, beautiful sound.
ReplyDeleteCheers Gordo* I would never dispute his iconic status and following. A legend to many.
