December 31st 1970
New Year's Eve 1970...hmmm, got me reminiscing.
My Mum would exit via the back door just before midnight.
Many others of her generation would do the same
before navigating their way to the front of their houses.
After the stroke of midnight/neighbourly good wishes
they would then re-enter via the front door.
This tradition was "bringing in the New Year"..it died out.
The Wild Man Fischer/Zappa clip alone is worth the download
but the whole episode is excellent IMO.

Delete...and even wilder than UFO in their late 60's band mode (and 3/5 of the band i saw wearing spandex in 81 and 82) is seeing a very long-haired paul carrack in warm dust!
