Summer of Soul
The Revolution Could Not Be Televised
Harlem Cultural Festival 1969 (MKV video)

AussieRock's comment re Sly & The Family Stone at Woodstock
inspired me to revisit this film.
An extraordinary documentary which I highly recommend.
It focuses on the event itself and the historical background
but we also get footage of the artists who performed including Sly.
Sometimes known as the Black Woodstock.
I prefer this to the 'White' Woodstock.
So many brilliant musicians.
About 16 mins in. when organiser Tony Lawrence is onstage,
watch this world champion coat thrower in action!
regards
Titus
