  1. damn, i hadn't heard. saw golden earring just once, back
in 83, and ran into big 'earring fan steve harris. we chatted about the sorry state of the music biz, with golden earring playing a 1500 capacity club while the duran durans and such were ruling the arena world...ha! back when there *was* a music biz.
    thanks for this titus!

  2. I always liked the Dutch band. I saw them live once too. Compare them to the Australians Masters Apprentices. The same beat music in the 60s, then they switched to more progressive, then towards the end of the 70s/80s, more hard rock. Only the Dutch released more records. Much more. Now the guitarist is more than 8 Miles High. R.I.P.

  3. Well deserved tribute, thanks. GE was a great band that excelled when playing live. Still I like some studio albums like Moontan and Contraband.
