like the printed tickets, live shows used to be more physical and real, with the drummer, and not an in-ear click track, pacimv the show. to say nothing of lip-synching - which way back when was a thing of scandal. and don't get me started on pricing nowadays for arena shows mikeL
i am happy to report that i'll be seeing seing the dictators with none other than albert bouchard on drums. no lip-sync/in-ear click track anticipated! mL
I finished with arena shows years ago, always overpriced, but now stupid prices. Give me a gig in a small venue anytime, preferably with a pay-on-the-door policy. As for the ‘fisting’ fees most venues charge, that too has got silly. Just tell us what the ticket price is, don’t tempt us with a £25 price only to find out that the fees take it to nearly £35. Also I don’t really want to take an expensive phone into a gig, just to show a ticket.
You're absolutely spot on. I am not a robot.
