The Anniversary (1968)
The Anniversary was first performed, as a play, in the West End of London.
The film version was produced by the legendary Hammer company
who were best known for their classic gothic horror catalogue
which I collect along with the (often confused with Hammer) Amicus stuff.
This release was a foray into non-Horror territory
although it certainly has it's own brand of horror. :)
A black comedy which allowed, the fabulous, Bette Davis free reign
to camp it up big time with an outrageous performance.
Jack Hedley has featured on the blog before due to his role in the Colditz series.
He puts in a great performance here as, eldest son, Terry.

Titus
