Pat Metheny Group
Cullen Performance Hall
University of Houston
Texas
March 27th 1981

Remastered soundboard.
Brilliant from start to finish.
I can't recommend it enough.
A beautiful document of Pat's collaboration with Lyle Mays.
Lyle is terrific and this is much more
than the 'guitar God' performance some may expect from a Metheny concert.
Guitar fans need not worry though as there's ample room
on this 150 minute show for Pat to stretch out .
regards
Titus

  1. I'm not into jazz music but I must admit that the Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays recordings are wonderful. When both play together it's magical. I saw them twice in concert and have fond memories of these. And we should not forget that the best album from Joni Mitchell is when she was accompanied by Metheny and Mays.

  2. Agree with most of that except Blue is Joni's best akbum :)
