When I was growing up in the late 60s/early 70s
the second world war was just ancient history to me
no more significant than the rise and fall of the Roman Empire.
They'd just exchanged a chariot for a Spitfire.
Everything was great! It was the age of science.
Hey, they put a man on the moon (would you believe?)
The TV show 'How' taught me how things worked:


















































Tomorrow's world showed me how things would work in the future:

















































They neglected to tell me the world is a shithole.
