It's a common, almost dated, phrase 'Information Age'.
The internet gives you an illusion of choice.
Algorithms decide your search results
and offer links to other things it believes may interest you.
copy this and paste it into Google search:

then go to Bing and search it there.
This is not me whinging about my coverage.
I'm happy to be semi-dark web...pretty cool :)
It isn't a promo for Bing either.
It's about the control of information.

I stopped using G00gle a while ago. Without going into too much detail, a family member was getting quite anxious by some of the health search results from G00gle, the search engine I use was getting different results. I think their algorithm is creating fear, amongst other negatives, too many to mention.
ReplyDeleteIt is very surprising just how different the results can be. A company such as Amazon has a huge advantage over competitors.
