The Village (2004)
An American period thriller written, produced, and directed by M. Night Shyamalan.
It stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Joaquin Phoenix, Adrien Brody,
William Hurt, Sigourney Weaver, and Brendan Gleeson.
The film has plot issues and many have been quick to criticise it's failings.
I acknowledge those short=comings but I think it has merit.
The on-location cinematography and the oppressive atmosphere make it worth a watch.
