Destiny (1978)
Part of the 'Play for Today' canon.
Originally shown in three parts,
It focuses on the Politics of a post-colonial Britain
coming to terms with immigration and a changing world.
It's dated and yet simultaneously prescient...if you get my drift.
Pretty hard hitting at times with it's non-PC language and controversial subject matter.
The cast is amazing.
As well as the "stars" anyone who grew up with British TV in the 60s/70s
will recognise many of the supporting actors
who were all familiar faces on numerous productions.
There are a couple of glitchy moments on this old VHS transfer
but nothing too serious.
regards
Titus
