Bill Nelson's Red Noise
City Hall
Sheffield, UK
March 13th 1979
+
Be Bop Deluxe
BBC London
(broadcast July 6th 1976)

If Cardiacs and The Tubes combined forces to make an album
it might sound something like Bill Nelson's Red Noise.
A bit of Sparks in there too.
Nelson has made tons of albums over the years and I have heard very little.
Which I really should rectify.
These are very nice recordings.

Titus

  1. Thanks for the (upgrade for me) Red Noise, this is one of my favorite recordings, for many reasons. I thought that Red Noise never got the attention at the time it deserved. But also as you pointed out Cardiacs were probably influenced by this short lived band. This recording is from 1979, I heard the bbc broadcast, went and bought the 2 coloured vinyl singles, but couldn't afford the album until years later. Thanks again.
