Suzanne Vega
Iron Horse Music Hall
Northampton, MA
March 15th 1984

Reposted from February 2021

First of all I apologise for the excessive track splitting here.
Not my doing, but I couldn't be bothered rejoining it to reduce the playlist.
Whoever did this...well...let's just say don't let them cut your hair.
One of the many tracks I have called 'Suzanne talks' is just her saying "Thank you".
There is some hiss noticable in quiet parts but attempts to quell it
had such detrimental effects on the quality of the music I abandoned that project.
This is a very early SBD.
The year before her first album came out.
Don't think she was ever better than this.
Wonder if she was aware of Roy Harper?
Reminds me of Roy in terms of the mix of acoustic songs and chat.
Always odd to hear something like this where the artist
is about to go huge and it will be the last chance,
at least for some time, to see them in such a low key setting.
I once saw Barenaked Ladies in a tent at Glastonbury
just before they became really famous.
Best gig they ever did.
regards
Titus
