Frank Sinatra & Dean Martin
Westchester Premier Theatre
May 1977
A comment in the Time Machine post made me have a rummage in the CDs.
This is what I was looking for.
Not quite Rat Pack era, I suppose, but two of it's key protagonists.
It struck me that this 'Tarry Records' version is 22 years old!
I like the way Frank makes a point
of acknowledging both the songwriters and the arrangers.
Some of the orchestration is superb.
I'm not convinced by the "Disco" ones.
I'm not convinced that Frank was convinced.
Deano pretends to be drunk as usual.

I definitely need to give a listen to those disco songs. Even Kiss, Rolling Stones or Whitesnake were playing on disco beats in those times. Thanks for feeding my curiosity on an early morning.
ReplyDeleteIt was the impact of Saturday Night Fever
DeleteCan't remember any Whitesnake song with a disco beat...
DeleteDon't break my heart again... hard work for Ian Paice on the drums.
DeleteI love that song, doesn't sound disco to me unlike Emotional Rescue or I Was Made For Loving You.
DeleteNot disco, but I hate Whitesnake anyway :)
