I've been reading a book about Greek mythology.
We all love a cyclops right?
Those dudes with the one eye.
Well my book reckons that's bollocks.
The cyclopes (yep that's the plural) were the blacksmiths of the Gods.
Back then blacksmiths wore a leather patch over one eye. 💡
An insurance policy against the inevitable faceful of molten metal.
After which I imagine they got a huge compensation award
and took early retirement on full pension.
(the blacksmiths or the cyclopses?...Ed.)
