Glastonbury Fayre 1971

Released in 1972 this was a triple LP to help fund the, then free, festival.
Here it is as a triple disc vinyl rip with the third disc being the documentary film
which was directed by Peter Neal and Nicolas Roeg.
Although most of the performances are live, not all were recorded at Glastonbury.
The track contributed by the Grateful Dead
(titled 'Dark Star....bury' for this compilation)
is a version of 'Dark Star' recorded at the Empire Pool, Wembley, London,
from April 8th 1972 (during the band's European tour).
The group was widely rumoured to be due to appear but did not.
Studio demo recordings were contributed by Marc Bolan and Pete Townshend,
who did not play at the event, and by David Bowie, who did.
I fixed a few volume issues (Townshend/Bowie/Hawkwind/Fairies/Broughton)
and replaced the Gong set with an alternative source
as that side of the vinyl was heavily scratched.
The link has the film in avi format.
There is also a link for a ready-to-burn DVD conversion.
Out Demons Out was always a tough listen!

Titus
