Jeff Lynne's ELO
BBC Radio Theatre
London, England
November 12th 2015

I taped this off the wireless.
Very good quality BBC Radio 2 broadcast.
Easy listening for all the soft-rockers out there.
'Ain't it a Drag' was not on this broadcast
so I used a different source for that track.
regards
Titus

  1. no softie here but ELO were my number one band in middle school before the likes of tull, floyd, genesis, rainbow entered the picture. saw the out of the blue show my first day in high school...missed their non-backing track tours that preceded...
this sounds pristine, thank you titus!

    1. It's still too soft for me. There are some great ELO songs but after listening this twice in one day I'd heard enough for a while :)

  2. i have major issues with so much of the sets jeff and co did on the recent re-boot: like the xanadu and discovery tunes - which soured me on ELO back then! for every deep cut like 10358 overture there were half a dozen clunkers. and Time hardly touched. i prefer the first two albums these days - which were mostly heavy and weird.
i'm appreciative that you put in the time for this one ;0]

    1. I think Out of the Blue is a great album but I agree...in the long run the first two albums are much more interesting

  3. The only LP I can really listen to from start to end is Face the Music. I had it on tape when I was a teen and still am fond of this one. The rest is not for me, except the big hits of course, a bit like the Beatles, you can't escape.
