Slade
Reading Festival
England
August 24th 1980
Remastered FM.
There's a cut in 'Mama Weer All Crazee Now'
and 'Born to be Wild' is from a later, lower quality, broadcast.
trivia:
Slade never had a number one hit single in Germany.
The Germans preferred Sweet and James Last.

Such a fun band, would have given a LOT to have seen them live! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI saw them at the Donington festival in 1981 and they pretty much stole the show.
DeleteSaw them back end of last century with Sweet in Kortrijk (Belgium) . Much of fun with this double bill.
DeleteWas that 1999 Derek? I've tried to research a bit but there is little info. Some possible references to Slade ( Boerenrock festival in Kortenaken?) but nothing on Sweet
DeleteExact date found back : Classic Rock Festival 8th November 2003 Kleizaal, Engelse Wandeling, Kortrijk, Belgium.
ReplyDeleteAh, a bit later than your "back end of last centuary" boast :)
